Judgment Before the Dark Court

"Judgment Before the Dark Court"

The print that I can personalize...
to you... or for anyone you know who'll appreciate
a really unique (and weird) gift!

There are mysteries waiting to be discovered, here in the chambers of The Dark Court, moldering books to be opened and read, visual puzzles to be solved. You may never unearth them all, nor divine all of their hidden meanings, but they will forever intrigue your eye, entice your mind, beckon you into to the secret world of The Dark Court.

Judgment Before The Dark Court is my most complex spooky painting to date, both in concept and execution. It occupied my thoughts -- and my brush -- for many months. As the painting developed, strange and wondrous creatures inhabited its corners and crept into its crannies.

Take your time. Look around. I've buried a host of secrets in this spooky painting, and you will spend many hours searching out the many subtle meanings in its symbolism.

Of the books on the shelves, over fifty have titles -- real, imaginary, fearsome, funny, fantastic, funereal, far-fetched -- nearly all of them suggested by Friends Of The Haunted Studio. All are entirely readable in Large Format and Limited Edition sizes. If you have a good magnifying glass, they're even readable in the Medium Format size.

Please note that the image above is shown with a black border. This is not part of the print image. I suggest that for the very best look, a single charcoal-black mat be used when framing this print, leaving a small margin of the background white of the print exposed.

Judgment Before The Dark Court is not recommended as a Small Format print, but you may have it if you want it.

PERSONALIZED LIMITED EDITION PRINT

Judgment Before The Dark Court has been reproduced in a limited edition of 500 signed and numbered copies, to the size of my original painting. When sold out, this edition will never be reprinted! It has been printed to the very highest standards, by offset lithography, on 28" x 20" high-quality extra-heavy matte-finish coated stock. The image measures about 24" x 16" (precisely the size of my original painting).

To make it even more special for you, I will personally letter a title* and author** on the fat book that my main ghoul is reading.

Go ahead and think up a title, even add an "author," if you wish, and I'll letter it on the book to become part of your print! Could there be a more perfect gift for that Halloween fan on your list? Or for yourself?

Think of titles like This is your life, Xxxxx. (Name of choice); The Sins of Xxxxx; Xxxx's Conquests of (or Datebook of, or Tax Returns of); My Life As A Great Lover / by Xxxxx. Use your imagination!

*Three lines, a maximum 12 letters per line. **14 characters maximum. Please, submit nothing that's obscene, obnoxious or defamatory. Sorry, I can't offer this option with Large Format or Medium Format prints. They're just not big enough to letter on.

Finally, your print will be signed, numbered, sealed into its archival clear plastic protective envelope, and carefully rolled for mailing to you.
